To be servile and to be modest
I have heard the words as follows.
"'To be servile' and 'to be arrogant' are same."
"The person who becomes servile in the time of adversity is a person who becomes arrogant in the time of prosperity.”
Therefore, I have persuaded myself not to become a servile person if I don’t want to become an arrogant person.
I think that 'to be servile' brings the isolation.
On the other hand, there is 'to be modest’ that is quite different from 'to be servile’. I think that 'to be modest’ is to esteem everyone and to protect from the isolation.
I need to warn myself so as not to become servile, and I want to live in modesty.
